Retail Staff Pharmacist - Dinosaur, CO

This opportunity is designed for a licensed pharmacist seeking a rewarding role in an outpatient retail pharmacy setting. You will serve as the sole pharmacist, providing leadership and expert care within a busy environment that values precision and teamwork.

Location: Dinosaur, CO
Job Type: Contract to Hire (13 weeks)
Shift: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws
• Managing prescription processing with Liberty order entry system
• Collaborating closely with a team of seven payroll staff, including four full-time pharmacy technicians
• Maintaining high-quality patient care with an average script volume of 200 on Mondays and 125 Tuesday through Friday
• Fulfilling Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) duties, with flexibility to consider experienced staff pharmacists for this role

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado pharmacist license required
• Proven retail pharmacy experience essential
• Pharmacy management experience is a strong plus but not mandatory; staff pharmacists with leadership potential will be considered
• Ability to lead and work independently in a dynamic outpatient environment
