Staff Pharmacist - Downingtown, Pennsylvania

A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Kennett Square, PA. Over a 13-week assignment, you will play a key role in overseeing fulfillment operations and ensuring the highest standards in prescription processing and patient counseling.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising fulfillment personnel and daily shift operations
• Participating in shipping and handling of prescription orders as needed
• Ensuring all prescription orders meet prescriber and patient requirements
• Applying proper techniques and accurate documentation in preparation and dispensing of pharmaceutical products
• Assessing patient demographics and medication histories to develop therapeutic care plans
• Monitoring and educating patients on drug therapy, including prescription, over-the-counter medications, and supplements
• Evaluating drug regimens for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and therapeutic effectiveness

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
• Minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy experience; recent graduates will also be considered
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication skills for patient counseling

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8-hour shifts within 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
