Staff Pharmacist | Downingtown, Pennsylvania

A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to oversee fulfillment operations and ensure the highest standards of prescription processing. This contract-to-hire role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care by managing pharmacist staff, handling prescription orders, and providing expert medication counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise fulfillment personnel and daily operations during shift hours.
• Participate in shipping and handling of prescription orders as necessary.
• Ensure prescription orders comply with prescriber and patient requirements.
• Accurately prepare pharmaceutical products with appropriate technique and documentation.
• Assess patient demographics and review medication histories to develop effective care plans.
• Monitor drug therapy for appropriateness, potential interactions, and therapeutic effectiveness.
• Educate patients on prescription, OTC medications, and nutritional supplements.
• Provide counseling to promote safe and effective medication use.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required.
• Minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Recent pharmacy graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to manage and lead pharmacy support staff effectively.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8-hour shifts within the window of 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
