Retail Staff Pharmacist | Dunmore, West Virginia

A hospital-owned retail pharmacy in Buckeye, WV is seeking a dedicated pharmacist for a 12-week contract position. This role offers the opportunity to manage pharmacy operations in a community-focused setting, serving approximately 4,000 prescriptions monthly. The pharmacy environment includes a gift shop and coffee shop, enhancing the experience for patients and visitors.

Schedule & Shift:

• 2 days per week, ideally Tuesday and Wednesday (flexible)
• 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break (10-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct pharmacy technicians and staff pharmacists
• Verify and dispense medications accurately and safely
• Manage inventory, medication stock, and formulary compliance
• Ensure controlled substance handling and documentation meets regulations
• Administer 340B program oversight and compliance
• Handle pharmacy billing, claims submission, and reconciliation
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) and pharmacy systems with provided training
• Support operational workflow and continuous quality improvement
• Administer immunizations to patients

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear West Virginia pharmacist license
• Experience with Pioneer RX software preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy; PharmD preferred but not mandatory
• Current CPR certification and active immunization certification
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
