Schedule:

• Monday Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Coverage from July 29 through August 5

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in inspecting pharmaceutical products and drugs destined for the clean room, ensuring accuracy with unique lot numbers per batch records.
• Perform thorough final checks of compounded sterile preparations (CSP), verifying label accuracy, fill amounts, and medications used.
• Confirm completeness of final shipments to patients, including medical supplies according to delivery tickets.
• Communicate effectively with physicians' offices, field nurses, and patients regarding drug regimens, inventory, potential drug reactions, and abnormal lab results.
• Conduct patient outreach to discuss upcoming deliveries, inventory levels, and medication compliance; escalate issues to management as needed.
• Manage inbound calls from medical offices, nursing agencies, and patients with professionalism and clinical knowledge.
• Utilize CPR+ software proficiently to support pharmacy operations and documentation.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Master of Science in Pharmacy preferred.
• Current pharmacist license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of two years recent acute-care pharmacy experience or one year recent home infusion therapy experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience with intravenous admixture services and intravenous therapy.
