Retail Staff Pharmacist - East Saint Louis, Illinois

A pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed Staff Pharmacist to support retail pharmacy operations on a part-time basis in East Saint Louis, IL. This position offers a consistent schedule with competitive on-call pay and the chance to work in a dynamic pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill, check, and verify prescriptions
• Provide patient counseling and medication guidance
• Handle emergency orders on Sundays
• Collaborate within the pharmacy team to maintain high standards of service

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM 7:00 PM (24-30 hours/week total)
• Saturday: 9:00 AM 2:00 PM
• Sunday: On-call for emergency orders from 7:00 AM 7:00 PM (paid on-call hours at $8 per hour)

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Illinois is required
• PharmD degree preferred
• Experience working with PioneerRx pharmacy software highly preferred
• Previous retail pharmacy experience, especially in filling and counseling patients, is essential
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

This is a contract role with signed agreements required. The position involves typical retail pharmacy duties including dispensing, verifying medication accuracy, and patient counseling.
