Mail Order Staff Pharmacist - Edison, California

This opportunity is ideal for a Compounding Pharmacist seeking a full-time temporary role in Bakersfield, CA, with potential for permanent placement. The assignment runs through July 2026 and focuses on both sterile and non-sterile compounding, ensuring the highest standards of pharmacy practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, maintaining strict adherence to USP 795, 797, 800, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Perform final verification of prescriptions to ensure accuracy and safety
• Fill, label, and prepackage medications efficiently and accurately
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding orders, clarifications, and refill requests
• Counsel patients and address their questions to provide excellent pharmaceutical care

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• PharmD or BS degree in Pharmacy
• Active California Pharmacist license is required
• 35 years of pharmacy experience; compounding experience preferred
• Retail pharmacy experience will be considered, particularly for those focusing on dispensing
• Strong communication and organizational skills essential

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM 5:15 PM
