Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Elyria, OH

This opportunity offers flexible per diem floating pharmacist shifts across retail grocery pharmacy locations in the Akron, Cleveland, and Canton areas. As a pharmacist in this role, you will support multiple stores by providing professional pharmacy services, ensuring efficient operations, and delivering excellent patient care in a dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and counsel patients
• Manage inventory and perform data entry tasks
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Adapt to varying store volumes, averaging around 800 prescriptions per week
• Utilize McKesson EnterpriseRx software for pharmacy operations
• Float between assigned locations, providing coverage wherever needed

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Ohio pharmacist license required
• Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Willingness and ability to travel reliably between Akron, Cleveland, and Canton stores
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently under a flexible, self-scheduling model

Schedule and Training:

• Per diem, self-scheduled shifts selected monthly from available openings
• Three paid 8-hour training shifts required before beginning per diem rotation
• Training locations may vary and can be outside preferred areas
• Uniform/smock provided
