Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Evanston, Illinois

A retail pharmacy is seeking a highly motivated pharmacist for per diem coverage with flexible training options. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to patient care through prescription verification and management, with minimal face-to-face patient interaction.

Location:

• Evanston, IL area
• Training available every Friday OR every other Thursday/Friday in Chicago, IL 60622

Schedule/Hours:

• Coverage primarily on Fridays or every other Thursday and Friday
• Work hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Closed on weekends

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions and ensure accuracy in dispensing medications
• Provide professional consultation regarding medication usage when required
• Support daily pharmacy operations while maintaining compliance with safety standards
• Assist with inventory management and record keeping
• Facilitate UPS free home delivery system to assist patient medication accessibility

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Pharmacist License required
• Experience as a staff pharmacist in retail settings is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
