Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist | Fredericktown, Ohio

A pharmacy is seeking a skilled PRN Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage during specific dates, including September 14th to 18th and November 25th. This per diem role supports a busy retail setting requiring a reliable professional to maintain smooth pharmacy operations.

Location: Fredericktown, OH
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (pharmacy hours 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, no lunch closure)

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and verify data using PioneerRx software, processing over 200 prescriptions daily
• Review and check more than 200 prescriptions each day for accuracy and safety
• Respond to phone inquiries professionally and promptly
• Verify and sign for controlled and narcotic drug deliveries
• Collaborate with three full-time pharmacy technicians to support daily workflow
• Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards

Qualifications

• Current, active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience
• Proficient with pharmacy computer systems, preferably PioneerRx
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

This role does not include immunization duties. The pharmacy operates without closing for lunch, requiring the pharmacist to maintain consistent coverage throughout the shift.
