IV Sterile Compounding Inpatient Staff Pharmacist | Greensboro, North Carolina

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to work in a dynamic hospital environment, supporting inpatient medication management with advanced technology systems. This contract-to-hire position offers a 13-week engagement with potential for extension or permanent hire, providing both stability and career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the medication-use process to ensure safe, efficient preparation and dispensing of medications following established policies and procedures.
• Interpret and verify medication orders with clinical accuracy.
• Maintain inventory levels and conduct thorough checks for cart fills and controlled substance fills.
• Supervise pharmacy technical staff in medication handling and administration processes.
• Act as a resource for the nursing team by providing clear and timely drug information related to medication administration.
• Utilize Epic EHR for order entry and Epic Dispense Prep to support pharmacy workflows.
• Operate Omnicell automation systems, including carousel and IntelliGuard RFI technology, to streamline dispensing.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid North Carolina pharmacy license.
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
• Knowledge and hands-on use of Epic EHR and Epic Dispense Prep.
• Experience with Omnicell dispensing technology and IntelliGuard RFI systems.
• Competency in sterile compounding per USP 797 and USP 800 hazardous drug standards.
• Familiarity with Hospital At Home initiatives is advantageous.

Schedule Options:

• Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with varying start times (7:30 am4 pm, 9 am5:30 pm, or 1:30 pm10 pm), rotating every third weekend.
• Alternatively, 7 days on and 7 days off, working 10-hour shifts (11:30 am10 pm).
