IV Sterile Compounding Inpatient Staff Pharmacist - Greensboro, NC

A dynamic clinical pharmacist position is available within a hospital inpatient setting, offering a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity with rotating 1st and 2nd shifts. This role supports the hospitalist team with medication management and transitions of care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert pharmacological guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote optimal medication therapies through the use of drug dosing protocols and laboratory data reviews.
• Interpret and verify provider-entered medication orders to meet individualized patient needs.
• Prepare and dispense medications efficiently in compliance with established standards and organizational policies.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in various pharmacy operations.
• Document clinical care daily in progress notes and pharmacy handoffs.
• Provide medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients, and the public.
• Support hospital providers in managing medications during patient transitions of care.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday on a rotating 6-week schedule.
• Rotations between 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM shifts.
• Rotate every 4th weekend.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Epic EHR and Omnicell dispensing technology.
• Strong critical thinking skills related to pharmacy practice.

Required Qualifications:

• PharmD degree.
• Preference for candidates with postgraduate training experience.
• Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) considered a strong plus.
• Experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy.
• Strong clinical expertise.
• Valid North Carolina pharmacy license.
