Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist in Helotes, TX

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist specializing in home infusion therapy. This 13-week contract position is based in Helotes, TX, offering a consistent evening schedule from 12 PM to 8 PM. The role focuses on providing expert pharmaceutical care in the home infusion setting, ensuring patients receive safe and effective medication therapy tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patient eligibility for home infusion therapy and develop individualized medication plans based on clinical evaluations and lab results.
• Prepare, verify, and dispense sterile compounded medications in strict accordance with USP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on medication use, infusion techniques, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless continuity of care and monitor treatment outcomes.
• Manage infusion equipment and uphold quality assurance and safety standards.
• Provide accurate drug information, maintain thorough documentation, and support regulatory compliance efforts.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in Texas.
• At least one year of sterile IV compounding experience or equivalent clinical experience, such as non-sterile compounding, immunizations, MTM, ASHP-accredited residency, or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE).
• Strong clinical knowledge of home infusion pharmacy practices.
• Proficient in interpreting laboratory values and applying pharmacokinetic principles.
