Per Diem Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist | High Point, North Carolina
An opening opportunity is available for a skilled Infusion Pharmacist to support pharmacy operations in Greensboro, NC. This contract role focuses on home infusion pharmacy, with an immediate need for coverage and potential for long-term placement or permanent hire. Candidates with retail pharmacy experience will be considered for contract assignment while we continue the search for a dedicated infusion pharmacist.
Location:
- Greensboro, NC
Schedule/Shift:
- Immediate coverage needed from 4/27 through 5/1, with availability for as many days as possible
- Additional assignments likely a few days each week
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders specifically for infusion therapies
- Oversee preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications ensuring highest safety standards
- Ensure compliance with USP guidelines and pharmacy regulations
- Provide clinical support and deliver drug information to healthcare staff and patients
- Collaborate with pharmacy team members to maintain workflow efficiency and patient safety
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold all regulatory requirements
Desired Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Pharmacist license in good standing
- Recent experience in infusion or home infusion pharmacy practice
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with sterile compounding
- Familiarity with USP standards and guidelines
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to assume Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities if converted to permanent hire (not required during contract)
