Inpatient IV Sterile Compounding Staff Pharmacist - High Point, NC

A hospital-based clinical pharmacist role is available on a contract-to-hire basis in High Point, NC, offering the opportunity to work within a dynamic inpatient environment. This position features a rotating 1st and 2nd shift schedule over 13 weeks, with potential for permanent placement.

Key responsibilities include promoting optimal medication therapies by utilizing drug dosing protocols and reviewing lab results. You will interpret and verify medication orders tailored to patient needs, prepare and dispense medications efficiently following established protocols, and supervise pharmacy technicians in daily pharmacy operations. Accurate documentation of clinical care through progress notes or pharmacy handoffs is essential. Additionally, providing medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients, and the public is a critical part of supporting the healthcare team. The role also involves assisting hospitalist providers with transitions of care and medication management.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, rotating every 6 weeks
• First shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Second shift: 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
• Rotating every 4th weekend

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficiency with EPIC EHR and Omnicell dispensing technology
• Strong critical pharmacy thinking skills in clinical settings
• PharmD degree required; postgraduate training experience preferred
• Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) a plus
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• North Carolina pharmacy license required
