Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Hixson, Tennessee

A per diem mail order pharmacist position is available to support an independent compounding pharmacy in Hixson, TN, with ongoing needs starting May 27-29. This role is ideal for a retired, semi-retired, or recently graduated pharmacist seeking flexible work hours while contributing expertise in a busy compounding environment.

Location: Hixson, TN (near Chattanooga)
Job Type: Per Diem
Schedule:

• Monday Friday: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Lunch break: 1:00 PM 2:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of 5 pharmacy technicians responsible for data entry, prescription fills, and phone communications
• Address questions and issues related to pharmacy operations
• Supervise the mail order eye drop department, which ships three variations of post-cataract surgery eye drops
• Ensure quality and accuracy while managing high-volume compounding (approx. 1000 compounds daily)

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current and valid Tennessee pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum of 1-2 years of pharmacist experience; mail order experience is preferred but not required
• Attention to detail and capability to supervise pharmacy technicians
• Ideal candidates include retired or semi-retired pharmacists or recent graduates who are reliable
