Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Hixson, TN

Join a well-established independent compounding pharmacy in Chattanooga, TN, as a Per Diem Mail Order Pharmacist to support ongoing vacation coverage needs. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment processing approximately 1,000 compounds daily, with a primary focus on overseeing mail order operations including specialty eye drop shipments.

Location: Chattanooga, TN
Job Type: Per Diem
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM (Closed weekends)
Lunch Break: 1:00 PM 2:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of 5 pharmacy technicians managing data entry, prescription fills, and customer phone inquiries
• Address and resolve any pharmacy-related questions or issues that arise during the shift
• Oversee the mail order eye drop department responsible for shipping three different types of post-cataract surgery eye drops
• Ensure smooth daily operations and maintain high standards for patient safety and quality

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current Pharmacist License in the state of Tennessee, in good standing
• Minimum of 1-2 years pharmacist experience
• Mail order pharmacy experience is preferred but not required
• Suitable for retired or semi-retired pharmacists as well as recent reliable graduates
