Staff Pharmacist Contract to Hire | Houston, TX

A pharmacy in Houston, TX is seeking a qualified Staff Pharmacist to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This position is ideal for a pharmacist with strong verification skills and experience working in a structured pharmacy environment.

Hours:

  • MondayFriday: 9:00 AM5:30 PM
  • Weekends as needed

What Youll Do:

  • Perform final verification of compounded prescriptions before they are dispensed.
  • Review orders for proper dosing, patient information, drug interactions, and overall clinical appropriateness.
  • Ensure formulations, labeling, and prescription documentation are accurate and compliant.
  • Help maintain high standards for medication safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Active Texas Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • 2+ years of pharmacist experience preferred.
  • Experience in a closed-door, compounding, or similar pharmacy environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a patient-safety mindset.
