Day Shift Verification Pharmacist 6-Month Contract-to-Hire - Houston, Texas

RPh on the Go is seeking a Verification Pharmacist for an immediate opportunity with a compounding pharmacy in Houston, Texas. This position offers a 6-month contract with the potential for permanent hire and a consistent MondayFriday day shift.

The pharmacist will be responsible for final verification of compounded prescriptions, ensuring accuracy, clinical appropriateness, and compliance with applicable pharmacy regulations. Candidates should have an active Texas Pharmacist license and prior pharmacist experience. Compounding or closed-door pharmacy experience is preferred.

Position Details:

• Location: Houston, TX

• Assignment: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

• Start Date: ASAP

• Schedule: MondayFriday, 6:00 AM2:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform final verification of compounded prescriptions before dispensing

• Review prescriptions for accurate dosing, patient information, drug interactions, formulations, and labeling

• Identify and resolve prescription discrepancies and documentation issues

• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and compounding teams to maintain quality and workflow

• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and medication safety standards

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist license

• Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school

• At least 1 year of licensed pharmacist experience

• Prescription verification experience

• Compounding or closed-door pharmacy experience preferred

• Familiarity with USP <795>, <797>, and <800>, TSBP regulations, DEA requirements, and HIPAA

• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume pharmacy environment
