An opportunity is available for an experienced retail pharmacist to provide maternity leave coverage from December 2026 to February 2027 in Huntington, TX. This contract position offers flexible scheduling options within store hours, making it ideal for those seeking a temporary assignment with adaptable shifts.

Schedule/Hours:

• Store hours: 9:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m.
• Shift 1: 8:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m. (options to end earlier: 4:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.)
• Shift 2: 9:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. (options to end earlier: 5:30 p.m. or 5:00 p.m.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere strictly to all government regulations including HIPAA compliance.
• Perform final verification on all prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers.
• Provide knowledgeable counseling on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage to both patients and healthcare providers.
• Maintain quality assurance protocols, control substance security, and appropriate hazardous waste disposal.
• Handle pharmacist-related telephone inquiries and retrieve voicemail messages or prescriptions.
• Provide patient counseling as required or requested.
• Manage customer concerns professionally in person and by phone.
• Note: This site does not provide vaccinations or Medication Therapy Management (MTMs).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent pharmacy experience required.
• Active and clear Texas pharmacist license.
• Working knowledge of Pioneer RX system.
