Per Diem Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist in Kernersville, NC

An immediate opening is available for an experienced Infusion Pharmacist to provide critical support in Greensboro, NC. This per diem contract offers the chance to contribute your expertise in home infusion within a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. There is potential for long-term placement or permanent hire for the right candidate. Retail pharmacists will also be considered on a contract basis during the search for an infusion specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders for infusion therapies to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Oversee preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications in compliance with USP standards
• Provide clinical support and drug information to staff and patients to optimize therapeutic outcomes
• Collaborate with pharmacy team members to maintain efficient workflow and uphold safety protocols
• Maintain meticulous documentation and regulatory compliance throughout operations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in North Carolina, in good standing
• Recent experience specifically in infusion or home infusion pharmacy
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with sterile compounding procedures
• Familiarity with USP guidelines and pharmacy regulatory standards
• Ability to work independently, swiftly adapt to changing demands, and maintain high attention to detail

Schedule:

• Immediate need from April 27 to May 1, with availability required for as many days as possible
• Additional shifts likely a few days each week, to be confirmed

Additional Information:

• Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities not required unless candidate is hired permanently
• Willingness to assume PIC role if converted to permanent status is necessary
