Pharmacist in Kinde, MI

This full-time pharmacist position offers a unique opportunity to work across both retail and hospital inpatient pharmacy settings in close proximity. The role requires balancing approximately 70% retail duties and 30% inpatient responsibilities, providing a varied and engaging work environment.

Location:

• Harbor Beach, MI (with retail and hospital sites a block apart)

Schedule:

• 4 days per week, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
• One weekday off, rotating weekends

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, codes, and professional standards
• Review medication orders for accuracy, allergies, and drug interactions
• Prepare intravenous admixtures using established formulas and procedures
• Provide clear and accurate information to both staff and patients
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams while also performing independently
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Desired Qualifications:

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Michigan
• Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred or demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt
• Proficient with pharmacy software; current use of Pioneer RX (retail) and CPSI (hospital) with transition to EPIC scheduled for November
• Comfortable managing a prescription volume averaging 250 per day, including servicing adult foster care and local long-term care facilities
