Retail Staff Pharmacist | Knox, Indiana

A contract opportunity is available for a pharmacist to support an outpatient hospital pharmacy. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented pharmacist with experience in retail or staff pharmacy settings who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Assigned tasks include filling medication orders and verifying technician-prepared products prior to release, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety standards. You will maintain the security of the pharmacy and controlled substances, and accurately enter orders and patient information, utilizing your knowledge of pharmacy operations. Experience with Pioneer RX software is preferred to successfully navigate order entry processes.

Location: Knox, IN
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Every other Saturday rotation
  Contract Duration: 8 to 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill and verify medication orders in a timely and accurate manner
• Check technician-prepared products before release to maintain quality control
• Maintain security protocols for the pharmacy and controlled substances
• Enter patient and order information accurately using pharmacy software

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Indiana pharmacy license (required)
• Pharmacy experience in outpatient hospital or retail settings
• Proficiency with Pioneer RX software preferred
