Staff Pharmacist in La Vista, NE

A part-time Retail Pharmacist position is available within a grocery store pharmacy setting in Omaha, Nebraska. This ongoing contract role offers a flexible two-week rotating schedule designed to accommodate both the pharmacys needs and the candidates availability.

Schedule:

• Week 1: Sunday 10:00 AM 2:00 PM, Tuesday 9:00 AM 7:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM 7:00 PM (24 hours total)
• Week 2: Tuesday 9:00 AM 7:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM 5:00 PM (17 hours total) *Pharmacy Manager is open to schedule adjustments as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying prescriptions and ensuring accuracy to maintain patient safety
• Providing patient counseling and education on medication use
• Overseeing pharmacy workflow and supporting pharmacy technicians
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Delivering excellent customer service in a busy retail environment

Qualifications:

• Active Nebraska Pharmacist license in good standing is required
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred for success in this role
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Flexibility to accommodate shift adjustments as necessary
• Experience with McKesson Enterprise is a plus but not mandatory
