Pharmacist in Lafayette, IN

An urgent opportunity is available for an experienced Outpatient Pharmacist or Pharmacist in Charge to join a close-knit healthcare facility. This direct hire position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing a consistent and balanced workweek.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter, interpret, and review prescriptions, ensuring safe and effective medication use
• Conduct drug utilization reviews and resolve issues by collaborating directly with prescribers
• Compound and dispense prescribed medications with attention to detail and safety
• Supervise professional and support staff, fostering a cooperative team environment
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
• Fill prescriptions for pharmaceutical preparations and devices efficiently
• Submit claims for third-party reimbursement accurately and timely
• Consult with physicians and nurses to answer pharmaceutical inquiries
• Provide clear and compassionate responses to patient questions regarding medications
• Monitor proper storage, distribution, and usage of pharmaceuticals in the facility
• Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned to support operational excellence

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors or advanced degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
• Minimum of three years of relevant pharmacy experience
• Registered pharmacist license in Indiana with no restrictions
• Clean criminal record with no felony convictions
• Openness to constructive feedback and a collaborative approach to patient care and team interaction

Work Environment:

• Dispenses 300-500 prescriptions daily within a small facility
• Supports from 1-2 pharmacy technicians and 1 cashier, promoting teamwork and close collaboration
