A full-time contract opportunity is available for a Compounding Pharmacist in the Bakersfield, CA area, extending through July 2026 with potential for permanent hire. This position involves overseeing both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, ensuring medication safety and accuracy. Candidates with retail pharmacy experience may be considered for a dispensing-focused role within the same assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and perform sterile and non-sterile medication compounding
• Conduct final verification of prescriptions to ensure accuracy
• Fill, label, and prepackage medications efficiently
• Communicate with healthcare providers for order clarification and refills
• Counsel patients and respond to medication-related inquiries
• Maintain compliance with USP standards 795, 797, and 800, as well as California Board of Pharmacy regulations

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM
• Full-time through July 2026

Qualifications:

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree
• Active pharmacist license in California
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, compounding experience highly preferred
• Retail pharmacy background considered for dispensing-only roles
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
