Retail IV Sterile Compounding Staff Pharmacist in Lexington, NC

This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist position in a specialty retail environment focusing on both sterile and non-sterile compounding. The role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break. This is a contract-to-hire position lasting approximately 13 weeks, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications including specialty sterile and non-sterile compounded prescriptions
• Perform order entry using PK software (training provided)
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Counsel patients on medication usage and answer any pharmaceutical-related questions
• Maintain sterile compounding protocols and clean room standards
• Collaborate with pharmacy team members to deliver excellent customer service

Qualifications:

• Current North Carolina pharmacy license is required
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience
• Experience in sterile compounding is highly desirable
• Experience with non-sterile compounding is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn PK software for order entry
