Staff Pharmacist | Los Alamos, New Mexico

This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist in a busy retail setting located in Los Alamos, NM. The role focuses on ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services in a fast-paced environment, handling approximately 600 prescriptions daily. This position offers a contract-to-hire arrangement, allowing for evaluation and potential permanent placement.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. 6:30 p.m.
• Saturday: 9:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. (rotating weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support pharmacy technicians to deliver efficient workflow
• Provide exceptional customer service and comprehensive patient counseling
• Verify USP 800 non-sterile compounded prescriptions (verification only, no compounding)
• Maintain accuracy and compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear New Mexico Pharmacist License required
• Experience with non-sterile compounding considered an asset
• Background in high-volume pharmacy environments preferred
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply and will be supported
