Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist | Loves Park, Illinois

A per diem opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist in an ambulatory outpatient retail setting. This role involves managing a daily script volume of approximately 200-250 prescriptions during weekdays, with weekend volumes around 100. The position offers a consistent daytime schedule, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential Saturday shifts as needed, and spans a six-week period.

Location: Loves Park, IL

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Possible Saturdays if needed

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and counsel patients within the retail pharmacy environment
• Manage prescription processing efficiently, supporting a high-volume workflow
• Utilize Epic Willow software for order entry and record keeping; training provided if needed
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of pharmacy practice
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication management

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Illinois
• Demonstrated retail pharmacy experience
• Experience using Epic Willow is a plus; training is available
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
