Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist - Machesney Park, IL

This role offers an opportunity to work as a Staff Pharmacist in an ambulatory outpatient retail environment, supporting a busy pharmacy with a script volume of 200-250 prescriptions daily and approximately 100 on weekends. The position is per diem for 6 weeks, primarily during daytime hours.

Location: Machesney Park, IL
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Possible Saturdays as needed

Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately in a fast-paced retail setting
• Manage prescription order entry using Epic Willow system (training provided if needed)
• Provide patient counseling and support to ensure effective medication use
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois pharmacist license required
• Prior retail pharmacy experience essential
• Experience with Epic Willow is a plus; training available for qualified candidates
