Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist - Machesney Park, Illinois

A per diem opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support an ambulatory outpatient retail pharmacy environment. This position offers a focused day shift schedule suitable for candidates seeking flexible work hours over a six-week period.

Location: Machesney Park, IL
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Possible Saturdays as needed
• Duration: 6 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescriptions with an average daily script volume of 200-250 during weekdays and approximately 100 on weekends
• Provide professional pharmaceutical care to patients in an outpatient retail setting
• Utilize Epic Willow for medication order entry and documentation
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois pharmacist license required
• Previous retail pharmacy experience necessary
• Familiarity with Epic Willow preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
