Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Mansfield, OH

A pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem pharmacist to provide vacation coverage with a focus on retail pharmacy operations. This position requires dedicated professionals who can efficiently manage a high volume of prescriptions and ensure accuracy in medication dispensing. Offering flexible per diem scheduling, this role supports smooth pharmacy functions while helping maintain optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM; the pharmacy is open 9 AM to 4:30 PM without a lunch closure
• Utilize PioneerRx software for data entry and prescription processing of over 200 prescriptions daily
• Verify and check prescriptions for accuracy and completeness
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide excellent customer service
• Receive, check in, and sign for controlled and narcotic drug deliveries
• Collaborate with a team supported by three full-time pharmacy technicians
• Provide coverage primarily during vacation periods, including November 25

Qualifications:

• Valid and active Ohio pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with pharmacy software, preferably PioneerRx
• Excellent communication skills for phone and patient interactions
