Staff Pharmacist | Mckeesport, Pennsylvania

A direct hire opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist responsible for delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care while educating patients on their medications. This role focuses on providing proactive patient counseling and collaborating with prescribers to ensure effective medication management and timely dispensing.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient counseling and medication education via phone, addressing new prescriptions, refills, side effects, adherence, and proper medication use.
• Collaborate with prescribers and their offices to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues that may delay dispensing.
• Monitor medication therapies to promote safe and effective use.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail, specialty, or mail order pharmacy settings.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and counsel patients effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
