Staff Pharmacist in Media, PA

A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to oversee fulfillment operations and support prescription processing in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care through thorough medication review, counseling, and collaboration with fulfillment personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise fulfillment staff and daily operations during assigned shift.
• Assist with shipping and handling of prescription orders when necessary.
• Ensure all prescriptions are processed accurately per prescriber and patient specifications.
• Maintain compliance with pharmaceutical laws, proper preparation techniques, and accurate documentation for all dispensed products.
• Assess patient demographics and medication histories to review and update patient medication profiles.
• Develop and implement patient care plans focused on therapeutic outcomes and monitoring effectiveness.
• Provide patient education on medication therapies, including dosage, regimen, and potential drug interactions.
• Counsel patients on both prescription and over-the-counter medications as well as nutritional supplements.

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license.
• Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient counseling and teamwork.

Location and Schedule:

• Position is located in Media, PA.
• Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm.
