Flexible Per Diem Floating Pharmacist Opportunity Multi-Location Retail Grocery Pharmacy

This role offers experienced pharmacists the chance to provide pharmacy services at multiple retail grocery locations throughout the Akron, Cleveland, and Canton areas. You will work on a per diem basis with a self-scheduling model, allowing you to select shifts that fit your availability from a roster of monthly openings. This position is ideal for pharmacists seeking supplemental income or semi-retired professionals who want to maintain an active license while enjoying schedule flexibility.

Location:

• Floating assignments across retail grocery pharmacies in Akron, Cleveland, and Canton, OH

Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service and counsel patients as needed
• Manage pharmacy inventory and perform data entry tasks
• Supervise pharmacy technicians during shifts
• Adapt to varying pharmacy volumes (average ~800 prescriptions weekly per location)
• Collaborate with store staff to ensure seamless pharmacy operations

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current and active Ohio Pharmacist license
• Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Comfortable and willing to travel reliably between multiple store locations
• Ability to thrive in a self-scheduling, on-demand shift environment
• Proficiency or willingness to learn McKesson EnterpriseRx software

Training & Onboarding:

• Completion of three paid 8-hour training shifts before starting per diem work
• Training may occur at designated stores that could be outside your preferred area
• Uniform smock provided

Additional Details:

• Interview with the Pharmacy Manager required
• Work uses a self-scheduling system where available shifts are shared monthly for selection
