Retail Staff Pharmacist in Mount Sterling, KY

A retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to support their busy operation. This role involves delivering exceptional pharmacy services in a fast-paced environment, supported by a strong team of pharmacy technicians. The ideal candidate will hold an active Kentucky Pharmacist license and bring recent retail experience, demonstrating proficiency with PioneerRx software.

Location: Mount Sterling, Kentucky
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM (four weekdays a week)
• Saturday coverage 1 to 2 times per month, 9:00 AM 2:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescription accuracy and ensure patient safety
• Provide patient counseling and answer medication-related inquiries
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and support pharmacy technicians
• Use PioneerRx system to process and manage prescriptions efficiently
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Participate actively in daily operations within a high-volume retail setting (approx. 3,000 prescriptions/week)
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and pharmacy staff
• Assist with Saturday shifts as scheduled

Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing required
• Recent retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Experience with PioneerRx is an asset
• Capable of working effectively in a high-volume environment
• Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities proactively
• Flexibility to work 1 to 2 Saturdays per month
