Outpatient Staff Pharmacist | New York, New York
An established healthcare system in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking an experienced pharmacist to manage outpatient pharmacy operations with a focus on specialty pharmacy and 340B program oversight. This full-time, 612 month contract role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in retail and outpatient pharmacy within a fast-paced environment handling approximately 65,000 prescriptions annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the outpatient pharmacy, ensuring smooth retail and specialty pharmacy workflows
- Manage and ensure compliance with 340B program regulations, maintaining adherence to all federal and state guidelines
- Support accreditation activities related to ACHC and/or URAC standards, working closely with pharmacy leadership, compliance, and legal teams
- Monitor and maintain regulatory compliance with Medicare and Medicaid programs
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize pharmacy services and ensure quality patient care
- Utilize PrimeRx pharmacy management system to facilitate prescription processing and inventory control
Qualifications:
- Active pharmacist license in New York State
- Proven experience in retail/outpatient and specialty pharmacy environments
- Strong understanding of 340B pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, ACHC, and URAC accreditation requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Prior experience working with compliance and legal departments within a healthcare setting
