Staff Pharmacist in Norfolk, VA

A direct hire opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist on the second shift at a closed-door LTC facility in the Newport News area. This position offers the chance to work in a patient-focused environment managing daily pharmacy operations with a moderate prescription volume.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct PV1 and PV2 verifications accurately and efficiently.
• Fill medications ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Manage workload for an average of 600 prescriptions per day.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal medication management.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
• Rotating weekends.

Qualifications:

• Current, clear, and active Virginia Pharmacist license.
• Recent pharmacy experience; open to new graduates.
• LTC experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn the Frameworks software system (training provided).
