Staff Pharmacist in O Fallon, IL

This pharmacy role is suited for a Staff Pharmacist experienced in retail operations, seeking ongoing contract work of 24-30 hours per week. The position involves working within pharmacy hours to ensure quality dispensing and patient counseling in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Sunday: Emergency orders only; on-call pay of $8/hour from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill, check, and verify prescriptions following pharmacy protocols
• Provide counseling to patients regarding medication usage and safety
• Handle emergency orders on Sundays when on-call
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy and regulatory guidelines

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Illinois Pharmacy License required
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred
• Experience with PioneerRx pharmacy software is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
