Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Ooltewah, TN

Join a well-established independent compounding pharmacy in Ooltewah, TN, seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage May 27-29, with ongoing needs in the Chattanooga area. This role offers the opportunity to oversee an efficient, high-volume operation specializing in personalized medication compounding and mail order distribution.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of five pharmacy technicians who manage data entry, prescription fills, phone communications, and daily operations.
• Provide expert guidance and respond to any pharmacy or patient-related inquiries.
• Manage the mail order eye drop department, responsible for shipping three variations of post-cataract surgery eye drops.
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy standards and protocols.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
• Closed on weekends

Qualifications:

• Current and active Tennessee Pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum of 1-2 years of pharmacist experience, with mail order pharmacy experience preferred though not required
• Ideal candidates include retired or semi-retired pharmacists or recent graduates seeking reliable, flexible per diem work
• Strong leadership skills for managing technicians and overseeing mail order operations
