Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Ooltewah, TN

An independent compounding pharmacy in Ooltewah, TN is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to support ongoing vacation coverage needs. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a licensed pharmacist interested in flexible hours within a highly specialized mail order environment. The pharmacy compounds approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily and focuses on providing personalized care, including specialized post-cataract surgery eye drops.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
• 1:00 PM 2:00 PM lunch break
• Closed on Saturdays and Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of five pharmacy technicians responsible for data entry, prescription filling, and answering phone inquiries
• Supervise the mail order eye drop department, managing the shipment of three different formulas of post-cataract surgery eye drops
• Address pharmacist-level questions and provide expert guidance to staff and customers

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in the state of Tennessee in good standing
• Minimum of 1-2 years of pharmacist experience
• Mail order pharmacy experience is preferred but not required
• Ideal candidates include retired or semi-retired pharmacists or recent graduates who demonstrate reliability and strong clinical skills
