Retail Staff Pharmacist in Owingsville, KY

A busy retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to support its high-volume operations. The pharmacy processes approximately 3,000 prescriptions weekly and benefits from strong technician support during weekdays and Saturdays. Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions thoroughly for accuracy and safety
• Provide patient counseling and address medication-related inquiries
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and coordinate with technician staff
• Utilize PioneerRx software to process and manage prescriptions
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Support daily pharmacy operations in a busy retail setting
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and colleagues
• Assist with Saturday shifts, typically 1 to 2 times per month

Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience is preferred
• Experience using PioneerRx is advantageous
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume pharmacy environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively
• Willingness to work 1 to 2 Saturdays per month

Location: Mount Sterling, Kentucky

Schedule:

• Four weekdays, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Saturday coverage 1-2 times per month, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
