Retail Staff Pharmacist - Owingsville, Kentucky

A retail pharmacy located in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to manage daily operations in a busy and fast-paced environment. This role offers competitive salary compensation and the opportunity to work with an experienced team in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescription accuracy and ensure compliance with all regulations
• Counsel patients on medication usage and address their questions
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and support pharmacy technicians
• Utilize PioneerRx system to process and manage prescriptions
• Maintain adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and colleagues
• Provide coverage on Saturdays, approximately 1 to 2 times per month

Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Experience using PioneerRx system is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume pharmacy environment
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively
• Flexibility to cover scheduled Saturdays

Location: Mount Sterling, Kentucky

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four weekdays per week)
• Saturday coverage 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, 1 to 2 times per month

This is a contract to hire opportunity in a retail pharmacy serving approximately 3,000 prescriptions weekly, supported by a skilled team including 2 pharmacists and 5-6 technicians on weekdays, and 1 pharmacist with 3-4 technicians on Saturdays.
