Retail Staff Pharmacist - Owingsville, Kentucky

A retail pharmacy located in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, seeks a skilled Staff Pharmacist to enhance its team in a busy, fast-paced environment. This role offers the flexibility of part-time or full-time scheduling, with a signed contract to hire arrangement. The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with the expectation to cover 1 to 2 Saturdays per month.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Saturday, 9:00 AM 2:00 PM
• Part-time or full-time options available

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions and assure accuracy
• Provide patient counseling and answer medication-related questions
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and technician support
• Utilize PioneerRx for prescription processing and management
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Support daily operations in a high-volume retail pharmacy
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and staff
• Assist with Saturday coverage as scheduled

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience with PioneerRx system is advantageous
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume pharmacy environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively
• Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays

Additional Information:
This pharmacy fills approximately 3,000 prescriptions weekly and benefits from strong technician support during weekdays and weekends. Housing will be provided for traveling candidates, though local applicants are preferred.
