Staff Pharmacist Opportunity Per Diem in Haxtun, Colorado

A retail pharmacy affiliated with a hospital in Haxtun, CO, is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for coverage on November 24th, 25th, and 27th. This per diem position offers the chance to lead pharmacy operations and work alongside a focused pharmacy team.

Location:

• Haxtun, Colorado

Schedule:

• Pharmacy Hours: 8:30 AM 5:30 PM
• Includes a 1-hour lunch break
• Coverage for specific dates: November 24th, 25th, and 27th

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all pharmacy activities with a hands-on approach as if it is your own practice
• Counsel patients on proper medication usage and safety
• Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions
• Perform final medication verifications to ensure quality and safety

Pharmacy Environment:

• Team includes 2 full-time pharmacy technicians and 1 PRN pharmacist
• Volume averages around 500 prescriptions per week
• Retail setting closely integrated with hospital services

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Colorado Pharmacist license required
• Recent pharmacist experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage pharmacy operations
• Excellent communication skills for patient counseling and team collaboration
