Retail Staff Pharmacist | Paris, Kentucky

A well-established retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist with retail experience to support a busy, high-volume environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in prescription verification, patient counseling, and pharmacy operations within a collaborative team supported by skilled pharmacy technicians.

Location:
Mount Sterling, Kentucky

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four weekdays)
• Saturday coverage: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (1 to 2 Saturdays per month)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Provide comprehensive patient counseling and respond to medication-related inquiries
• Oversee daily pharmacy workflow and technician activities
• Utilize PioneerRx software to process and manage prescriptions
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and team members
• Support Saturday operations as scheduled

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx system is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy setting (approximately 3,000 prescriptions per week)
• Strong communication skills and dedication to patient care
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a pharmacy team
• Flexibility to cover 1 to 2 Saturdays per month

Work Environment:
Weekdays are staffed with two pharmacists and 5 to 6 technicians, creating a supportive environment for efficient pharmacy flow. Saturday shifts are covered by one pharmacist and 3 to 4 technicians, ensuring continued operation and patient care.
