Retail Staff Pharmacist - Paris, KY

A retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide high-quality pharmaceutical services in a fast-paced environment. With approximately 3,000 prescriptions filled per week, pharmacists benefit from strong technician support to maintain efficient daily operations. This role offers either part-time or full-time hours with pharmacy shifts Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The position is contract to hire, with housing covered for traveling candidates.

Responsibilities include:
Verifying prescription accuracy and ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws
Providing patient counseling and addressing medication-related inquiries
Overseeing workflow and supporting pharmacy technicians
Utilizing PioneerRx software to manage prescriptions
Delivering excellent customer service to patients and staff
Assisting with coverage on Saturdays as needed

Qualifications and experience desired:
Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
Recent experience in retail pharmacy settings preferred
Familiarity with PioneerRx software is a plus
Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced pharmacy environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Availability to work 1 to 2 Saturdays per month
