Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist | Paterson, New Jersey

A home infusion pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacist for a temporary contract position starting October 19, 2026, through the end of January 2027. This role involves applying expertise in sterile compounding and medication verification to support high-quality pharmacy operations.

Location:
Wayne, NJ (with opportunity available in nearby Paterson, NJ)

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday
• Shift options: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy, appropriateness, and safe, effective drug therapy
• Prepare, fill, and compound sterile medications according to established formulas, procedures, and quality standards
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records, including inventory and patient documentation
• Perform required drug usage and Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) reporting
• Support pharmacy operations and quality assurance efforts to guarantee compliance with state and federal regulations as well as company policies

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and unrestricted New Jersey Pharmacist License
• Demonstrated experience in verifying sterile medications
• Proficient in USP 797 sterile compounding standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

This contract opportunity offers competitive hourly compensation within the range of $60 to $65. Candidates with home infusion or sterile compounding pharmacy backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
