Staff Pharmacist - Pelham, AL

A retail pharmacist opportunity is available for a PRN / per diem role offering temporary coverage in Birmingham, AL. This position supports the pharmacy during a regular pharmacists absence beginning November 1, 2026, for approximately two months with the possibility of additional assignments.

• Monday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM 1:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM 1:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: Closed
• Flexible scheduling based on pharmacist availability; specific shifts coordinated upon placement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, ensuring patient safety.
• Provide patient counseling and answer medication-related questions.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to manage daily pharmacy operations.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Work independently during assigned shifts to ensure smooth pharmacy workflow.

Qualifications:

• Active Alabama Pharmacist license in good standing, with no negative history.
• Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience.
• Experience with PioneerRx is preferred but not required.
• Strong ability to work independently in a retail pharmacy setting.
