Staff Pharmacist - Peridot, AZ
A full-time Pharmacy Retail Supervisor position is available in Peridot, AZ, offering a contract opportunity of 13+ weeks with potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment, especially for local candidates. While preference is given to those local to the area, traveling pharmacists willing to relocate are also considered.
Schedule/Hours:
- 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week
- Monday through Friday
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing daily pharmacy operations to maintain compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards.
- Developing and monitoring financial and operational goals, incorporating process improvements into quality systems.
- Leading the development and execution of policies and procedures to ensure effective department functions.
- Continuously evaluating and enhancing processes and service delivery.
- Managing pharmacy staff performance, including training and professional development.
- Overseeing inventory control and purchasing to ensure timely and cost-effective access to medications.
- Implementing and monitoring pharmacy technician systems for operational accuracy and efficiency.
- Preparing reports, tracking progress, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Participating in staff orientation, training sessions, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Performing additional duties as necessary to support pharmacy operations.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
- Completion of a PGY1 residency preferred.
- Minimum of five years of professional pharmacy experience with at least two years in a management role.
- At least three years as a practicing pharmacist; hospital experience preferred.
- Current, active, and unrestricted pharmacist license; Arizona license preferred.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Licensed or trained to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred.
- Ability to pass background and drug screening processes.
